Peter Alliss
The Voice of Golf

Born in 1931, Peter decided at the age of sixteen to follow in his famous father Percy's footsteps and make a living playing golf.

During a long and distinguished career, Peter won three British PGA championships, played on eight Ryder cup teams and represented England in golf's World Cup ten times.

He won twenty-three notable tournaments in all, most memorably in 1958 when he won the Italian, Spanish and Portuguese Open Championships in successive weeks.

Since his time as a player he has become known as a widely knowledgeable commentator with an instantly recognisable style that has endeared him to millions for whom he is simply "The Voice of Golf".
