The British Turkey Federation held its 17th Charity Golf Day at Belton Woods, Grantham in Lincolnshire on 12 June with a large field of 150 golfers taking part including celebrities Willie Thorne, John Lowe, Kris Akabussi, Ed Stewart and Frank Worthington.
Following the golfing activities the numbers swelled to 220 people for dinner and they watched a moving ceremony during which powerchairs were prersented to 5 young people.
The event raised some £40,000 which again demonstrates the fabulous support people people from the turkey industry give to the "Wheelchair Crusade" even in these difficult economic times.
