2008 saw Moseley Golf Club pass two more milestones in its support for the Powered Wheelchair Crusade (PWC). It is 10 years since Joe Stephens chose the PWC as his Captain's Charity in 1998 and this year they presented their 40th wheelchair to 11 year old Jordan Hopewell from Castle Bromwich in Birmingham. They have since presented their 41st chair to Ashley Worth at the 2008 Open at Royal Birkdale.
Moseley G.C. was founded in 1892 and is located 2 miles south of Birmingham City Centre. In the 10 years they have been supporting the PWC they have had excellent support from a number of other Charities especially The Joseph Patrick Trust, The Lillie c Johnson Trust and CHIPS. This type of mutual support is essential as wheelchairs become necessarily more sophisticated and consequently more expensive.

The Club has supported a number of other Charities alongside the PWC e.g. last year's Captain, Peter Berry, raised £16000 in support of the Acorns Childrens' Hospice in Birmingham.
